Estas doenças, que podem ser inflamatórias e degenerativas, afetam mais de metade da população portuguesa e são responsáveis por até 60% da incapacidade física a longo prazo. ‘Body, it’s me’ explora o impacto pessoal de uma doença autoimune. Num diálogo íntimo entre corpo e mente, a narrativa traz à tona a luta interior do corpo e retrata a dificuldade de aceitação e resiliência perante uma condição que desafia a fragilidade do ser humano.

Body, it’s me’ is centred on rheumatic diseases. These diseases, which can be inflammatory and degenerative, affect more than half of the Portuguese population and are responsible for up to 60% of long-term physical disability. ‘Body, it’s me’ explores the personal impact of an autoimmune disease. In an intimate dialogue between body and mind, the narrative brings to the surface the inner struggle of the body, and portrays the difficulty of acceptance and resilience in the face of a condition that challenges the fragility of the human being.
